Husk last night was not just dinner, it was a reminder of why Nashville once felt like a secret worth keeping. From the moment we were seated downstairs by the window, with the garden and vines just outside, the room felt like a quiet sanctuary from the neon carnival the city has become. Warm, elegant, unhurried. The kind of place where conversation lowers itself out of respect for the food. We started with cocktails. I had Give Up the Ghost and Sarah ordered Seeds You Sow. Both were beautifully balanced, thoughtful, and precise. No showboating, no sugar bombs. Just confident, composed drinks that set the tone. We paired dinner with their Malbec, which fit the menu like it had been cast for the role. The Bear Creek Beef Tartare was the kind of dish that makes you pause mid-sentence. Fresh, rich, and bright, with layers that unfolded instead of shouting. Then came the heritage cornbread in its little skillet, with sweetened butter on the side. We ate the entire thing. Zero regrets. It was deeply comforting and quietly perfect, the kind of bread that makes you consider ordering a second just to be sure you didn’t imagine it. For mains, Sarah had the Jerk Shrimp and Grits and I had the Bear Creek Heritage Pork. Portions were generous in the best way. Both dishes were complex, confident, and deeply satisfying. Every bite offered a slightly different conversation between flavors, and neither plate overstayed its welcome. This is food that invites you to keep exploring the bowl until you’re both full and a little bit wistful that it’s almost gone. Service was flawless. Attentive without hovering, warm without being scripted, and genuinely proud of what they’re serving. Husk feels like a love letter to what Nashville used to be in the late 90s, before everything turned into a bachelor-party obstacle course. It’s calm, intentional, and deeply rooted in craft. A gem. A refuge. A place you want to return to with friends, just to show them that this kind of Nashville sti

Husk was one of the highlights of our trip to Nashville. Searching for authentic Southern food and an experience that actually felt rooted in history and character, and this place delivered beyond expectations. The restaurant is set inside the beautifully restored 19th-century home of a former Nashville mayor, and the atmosphere is unreal. Every room feels rich with history while still feeling warm and inviting. It’s the kind of place where you instantly slow down and take everything in. The food was unforgettable. Authentic Southern cuisine done with incredible attention to detail and flavor without ever feeling pretentious. The drinks were unparalleled, easily some of the best cocktails we had during our travels, and every recommendation from staff was spot on. What truly tied it all together was the impeccable service. Professional, welcoming, knowledgeable, and genuinely memorable from start to finish. Husk isn’t just a restaurant, it’s an experience. One of those rare places that stays with you long after the evening ends.

My sister and I ate here in late June for dinner on a recommendation from our Uber driver. We were overwhelmed with the amazing service and conversation we had with Matt who was delightful. He made great recommendations and we enjoyed his warm conversation throughout dinner. Trout was 10/10 and we also ordered the chef’s vegetable platter which was incredible creative and delicious. Well done.

My wife and I tasted the freshness of Nashville in here. The food is farm-to-table and uses ingredients from the restaurant’s garden and local farms. The food felt cooked right after harvest. The ambiance was peaceful with beautiful lighting, joyful for a great conversation. Recommended for anyone who wants to experience the same.

Definitely a five-star experience! We came to Nashville for the weekend and reserved Husk for our first night’s dinner, and it was one of the best meals we’ve ever had. The combinations of flavors were surprising and worked very well together. Everything was delicious, and you should savor every spoonful! For drinks, we had a lime smoky cocktail with “ghost” in the name—it was delicious. Cheers to the chef and the entire staff!

Outstanding! From the atmosphere to the food and great service, this is one of the best restaurants I’ve been to. The restaurant is in a remodeled house and is very charming. We had a reservation and were greeted by the friendly hostess and promptly seated. Our server was friendly and attentive. Cocktails were great. We had the Fried Carolina Gold Rice appetizer which was delicious. We both ordered the chicken dish which was juicy and had a nice sauce. The cornbread was also excellent. Overall a fantastic restaurant and I would highly recommend Husk.

Elegant dining experience in a historic style home turned restaurant featuring seasonal chef inspired food utilizing an on site garden. Fresh oysters, perfectly seared steak that is melt in your mouth delicious, lovely sauces, tender pork chops and the butter beans were amazing. Very creative use of ingredients.

Came here for a Saturday night dinner recently—we had been to the Charleston location and loved it, so was excited to try this location. It was fantastic! Service was great, our server Dana was friendly and attentive. We were celebrating my birthday, and they had “happy birthday” written on my menu! Food was delicious! Started off with the Roasted Murder Point Oysters, Alabama Shrimp and Buttermilk Cheddar Biscuits. For entrees, got the Jerk Shrimp & Grits and Joyce Farms Chicken Breast—both well flavored with decent portions. For dessert, we got the Carolina Gold Rice Pudding—wasn’t a huge fan of this one. Overall, beautiful vibe and decor inside, great service and good southern food—highly recommend this place!

Husk Nashville exceeded every expectation. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and effortlessly elegant. The menu showcased the best of Southern cuisine with incredible creativity and attention to detail, and every dish was packed with fresh, vibrant flavors. The service was equally outstanding—knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely passionate about the food and dining experience. Every recommendation was spot-on, and the staff made us feel like valued guests throughout the evening. What truly sets Husk apart is its commitment to locally sourced ingredients and its ability to transform them into unforgettable dishes. Every bite reflected the care, craftsmanship, and innovation coming from the kitchen. Whether you're a Nashville local or just visiting, Husk is an absolute must-visit. We dined here two months ago on our visit and I and we can't wait to return. I Look forward to visiting your Charleston location in Few months.

We visited for brunch, and it was an amazing experience! Everything was fresh and cooked to perfection. I enjoyed a virgin Bloody Mary, which was delicious and full of flavor. The eggs Benedict served on a light biscuit with thickly sliced Canadian bacon were simply perfect. The server was friendly, and the restaurant, set in an old home, exudes classic charm and nostalgia. It's truly a hidden gem!
